Toys for Tots rejects Jesus Doll
This has got to be one of the funniest things I have read. Toys for Tots would not accept a donation of 4,000 Jesus dolls.
"As a government entity, Marines 'don't profess one religion over another,' Grein said Tuesday. 'We can't take a chance on sending a talking Jesus doll to a Jewish family or a Muslim family.'"
Bill Grein is Vice President of the Marine toys for tots foundation.
I looked at the objective, goal, and mission statements of the toys for tots organization as printed on their website and all three state it is their desire to bring the "joy of Christmas" to needy children. This leads me to ask but one question, how many Jewish and Muslim families do they run into that celebrate Christmas? At least Jewish and Muslim families that are devout enough to be offended by a talking Jesus given as a gift to their child.

Well Said

"I would rather live on the verge of falling and let my security be in the all sufficiency of the grace of God than in some kind of pietistic illusion of moral excellence - not that I don't want to be morally excellent, but my faith isn't in the idea that I'm more moral than anybody else. My faith is in the idea that God and His love are greater than whatever sins any of us commit."
