Great Quote

"When someone has lived most of his or her life in last place and then discovers that Jesus is there in the last place as well, it is truly good news. However, when someone has always been looking for the 1st place and learns that Jesus is in the last place, it is confusing!" -Jean Vanier

Nice quote. Nice reminder that last place is the best place to be. Hard for us over-competitive people (me) to remember.

Here is a question from my oldest son in regards to this post and my response. I love these kind of dialogues with my kids.

This is a great question.

To those who have a hard life to hear Jesus say give up your life and follow me is really good news. To those who have a lot of stuff it is hard for them to hear they should give it all up and follow Him. Remember that Jesus went to the least, the last and the lost. Not to the best, the first, and those who have it all figured out. Listen to the words of your “My Jesus” song again.

Love,

Dad

We're taught by the world to climb the ladder but Jesus is at the bottom of the ladder beckoning us to come down and be made whole.

Lew, it is a preachable quote for sure because it is the way of Jesus. You can just about speak the quote and go sit down and allow the Holy Spirit to minister.
